The weekend after Thanksgiving our good friend in NMB was having a baby shower. Emily volunteered to bring up Cupcakes from Cupcake. The shower was a success even though the Clemson vs. South Carolina game wasn't. On the way out of town we decided to stop by Cheeseburger in Paradise with my parents and have some lunch. Hayden has been cutting his molars and is unusually fussy. He can't seem to sit still longer than 15 minutes (maybe 20 if we are lucky). So this gives us a lot of time to explore different restaurants. In the lobby of Paradise there are some colorful Adirondack chairs that were way to tempting for Hayden.
Climbing into the chair can be a challenge.
Look at me I did it!
After trying to stand up in the chair several times and then throwing a couple of fake crying fits, timeout followed.
What a face, too bad Daddy doesn't fall for it (well not all the time).

CCU Homecoming 2009
Hayden and I got away this past weekend by going up to North Myrtle Beach and spending some time with my parents. We have season tickets to CCU and this weekend was home coming. We invited my dad to the game and gladly accepted the invite. We met up with some friends and had some pizza before the game. The weather could not have been better, about 70* and sunny! Here are some photos I was able to snap with my iPhone.
Tailgate time
Can I have another slice of pizza?
Check out the band
Are you ready for some football?
Ready for kickoff
Go Chants

Swing Set
Happy birthday Hayden!
One of the things Hayden loves to do is swing. We go to the park and swing forever, well not really forever, but usually at least 30 minutes nonstop. So for his birthday I decided to build him a swing set for the backyard. Now we can swing anything we want. I documented it with my phone to the pictures aren't necessarily the best quality, but you will get the general idea.
On the way home from hardware store. 6 - 4x4x10's 6 - 80 lbs bags of concrete 10 - 5/8x10 inch bolts/nuts/washers (I really needed 12 inch bolts but at the time I didn't realize it)
They're here! They're here!
The perfect spot
That's deep!
Almost there. I need to wait for the concrete to set and then hang the buckets!
Weeeeeeee!
Take a look at all the pictures.

DI Photo shoot
We recently went down to the Island and took a bunch of pictures of Hayden. A friend told us about a treehouse that was build around this huge old tree right on the Wando River. It provides a beautiful backdrop for photos. We also went down to the dock and took some pictures on the swings and play area.
I am a big boy now
Hello there!
I am too cute
Just hanging out
Be sure to check out all the pictures.

Day at the park
The weather was beautiful, sunny and warm with a slight breeze, perfect park weather. This was a special visit to the park, it was the FIRST visit to the park for Hayden. At seven months old he is now sitting, crawling (kind of), pulling up, and more mobile then he has ever been. Until now he as used me as his own personal jungle gym of sorts, crawling over my legs while we play on the floor. We decided today would be the day to graduate from daddy jungle gym to real jungle gym. Well at least we would try it out for a bit. He still has several more years on daddy before going total legit.
We decided to drive down to Daniel Island and try our luck on some swings and slides. The park was near empty, perfect for a first timer. Swings were first on the list.
Are guys sure about this?
Okay guys, seriously is this safe?
Okay this is pretty cool.
Soooo relaxing.
Okay guys this isn't funny, get me down from here.
Overall the day was a huge success, swings and slides oh my! The weather really was perfect and the trip went off without a hitch. The only down side was Hayden being really sleepy. He about fell asleep on the swings and he wasn't as active as his normal crazy self.
We are looking forward to many many more days in the park!

Anna's Birthday
So last weekend we attended our friend's 3rd birthday party. Her name is Anna and she is as cute as could be.
This is the first time I have shot in RAW format. I haven't touched the photos up yet so check back later for some updated shots. So far I really like shooting in RAW, the image that you get is great and the options on editing 'after the fact' is amazing.

Easter
We didn't have any plans this year for Easter and Hayden wasn't feeling too well. He was trying to get over a double ear infection that made the doctor literally go "Wow". So my brother and his wife invited us over for dinner with him and his in-laws. We had a great time. Check out the pictures in the slide show.

Here he is with his aunt and uncle enjoying lunch at Poe's on Sullivan's Island.
First time eating applesauce!
Such a big beautiful smile.
Ahhhhhh! Daddy is haul'n...
That is it for now. Please stay tuned for more updates.

Meatballs (Turkey)
We found a unique recipe for meatballs online and decided to try them out, but using ground turkey instead. I would have called them turkey balls but that just sounds bad.
Here they are sitting in the freezer. The mixture contains ground turkey, diced onion, oats, milk, salt, and pepper. I used a small cookie dough scoop, but you could use your hands.
Now roll the balls in some flour and place back on the sheet. I won't go into detail on how to do this, I would hope that you could figure it out by yourself.
Now cook them quickly on 2 side in a skillet with a small amount of oil. You just want to slightly brown them, don't cook them through.
After they are brown place them into a casserole dish for sauce'n and bake'n.
The sauce is made of ketchup, diced onion, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire, and a dash of hot sauce.
Pour the sauce on and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.
Now enjoy!

Skype for iPhone
Skype just release a free iPhone app. It looks pretty slick. My first impression is great, but I haven't tried voice out yet.
Currently voice is only supported on wifi, but rumor is that with the iPhone 3.0 update it will be supported on 3G as well.
Once I get some time to play around with it I will report back here and let you know the outcome. Meanwhile enjoy this video:
