iPhone

So I got my iPhone and I love it. I don't know why I waited so long to pick on up, but I don't think I can ever go back to a regular phone.
I am anxiously waiting for the next version of the OS to be released. Hopefully I will be able to sync with my office exchange server and connect to the office secured wifi. If I can do these 2 things I would say the iPhone is the perfect device for me.
There are some short comings that really do bother me such as the lack of mms. I don't why my wife's $30 phone can take a picture and send it to other camera phones, but by $500 iPhone can't. I understand that I can email the photo, but that doesn't really meet my needs. I guess I will have to wait until Apple comes up with some form of mms. There are workarounds but I really don't think there should be a need to have a workaround.

After July 11th when the update comes out I will post up a review. Until then I will be enjoying my iPhone!

Blackberry, Outlook, and Google

So a coworker just got the new Blackberry curve 8330 from Verizon Wireless. The phone is really a nice little phone. The UI is well designed and easy to use. Now our company doesn't allow employees to sync with the Blackberry Enterprise Server, unless the phone is a company issued phone. This creates a problem for those employees that don't have the option to get a company phone, but are willing to purchase the phone and pay for the service.
Since our company uses MS Exchange, syncing the email with Blackberry is pretty easy, but there is no why to sync the calendars.
So after digging around online I found out that there is a program, by Google, that will sit on your computer and sync your Outlook calendar with a Google calendar. Unfortunately your computer does have to be turned on and connected to the internet, luckily most of the time our computers are. You can have the program sync 2-way or 1-way (either direction). You can also set it up to sync as frequently as every 10 minutes.
Now there is another program, by Google, that will sit on your Blackberry and sync your Blackberry calendar with your Google calendar. There are various settings on this end, but the default settings seem to work just fine.

This so far is the best solution I have seen, without paying extra for a sync service. If there is anyone out there that has a better solution, then by all means please respond.

First Post

This is my first post to my blog. I really don't know what to write so I will just keep this as a record of my time here on this planet.

Today I took some pictures of the alligators near my office. A small one was out and then later in the day a medium sized one was laying on the bank. He lifted his up and then slipped into the water. I am sure glad there is a fence between he and I.

I like to go down and take some pictures during the day. It is a nice break from the daily work routine.
